Natural, Hemp, and Organic Baby Bedding for your crib & nursery!

A return to natural products and materials is opening up new venues for reducing the amount of man-made fiber used in our clothing, upholstery, and baby bedding. People are becoming more aware of the fact that many of the products we use everyday are filled with impurities such as pesticide residue, genetically altered cotton, wool, and down, and synthetically produced materials that create toxic byproducts during manufacturing. It is now possible to purchase baby crib sets that have been manufactured from organically grown cotton, natural hemp fiber, flax, and linen. In fact, you can furnish your home and dress your family in clothing comprised entirely of certified organic and natural fabrics. As we become increasingly aware of the consequences of using chemistry to create the products used in our homes, there is an ever-increasing outcry for a return to clean natural materials. And, it only makes good sense to place your sleeping infant in a crib outfitted with natural organic baby bedding.

The strong argument for organic cotton

Organic cotton is considered more desirable than conventionally grown cotton for a number of obvious reasons. Avoiding the use of pesticides during the growing process produces cotton fibers that are pure and less likely to cause adverse reactions in people who are sensitive to chemicals. By avoiding the use of bleach and the many other chemicals commonly used to process the cotton fibers into fabric, the purity of organic cotton is maintained, further enhancing its desirability. Fields where organic cotton is grown are more environmentally sensible too since there is no risk of pesticides leaching into the soil and migrating into nearby waterways. Textile plants working in organic fabrics are also more cognizant of their impact on the environment and are less likely to be toxic offenders within the communities where they exist. The people who work with these organic materials are at reduced risk of exposure to toxic elements. From the grower, to the producer, and for the consumer, the benefits gained by everyone are too obvious to overlook. Organic cotton is just the logical choice.

More options in organic fibers

Hemp is becoming more widely recognized as a wonderful material for creating fabrics. European, Canadian, and US hemp producers are finding their markets expanding as more uses for this material are being explored. Fabric made from hemp is highly durable and tends to become softer with each washing. Flax and linen are also enjoying greater exposure in those homes that are opting to seek more natural materials for furnishings, bedding, and clothing. For those who suffer from allergies, this may be the long awaited relief they’ve been longing to receive. Many who suffer from environmental allergies that are related to chemical sensitivity can finally rest much easier with bedding that has been created from all natural fibers. Even if allergies are not an issue, the knowledge that these materials are friendlier to nature causes them to be more appealing than the artificially created fibers that are currently so prevalent in the marketplace. So, even if you’re not quite ready to throw out those polyester jump suits from the seventies, you can still sleep on hemp bed sheets and be pleased with yourself for the earth friendly choice you’ve made.

Did you know...t has been estimated that a new mother will enter her baby's nursery 3000 times in the first year of the baby's life so make sure you decorate it to make the room a special experience every time!
